The Beginning of  Dr. Bohbot's Research

In 1979 Dr. Albert Bohbot read a book on accupunture. Very quickly the approach of this medical treatment seduced him for the reasons that it takes the whole body and introduces another dimension, at practical level, through the action of needles. He assimilated it to a thermocouple by cold welding.

It also appeared to him that not all the points and merridians have been mapped on the current acupuncture chart. The fact that new points are still being discovered in China from time to time supported his conviction.

He applied a reasoning which he thought in accordance with the original discovery of the theory of points and meridians and established a network of more than 300 new points completing the traditional Chinese accupunctural network.

Creation of Laserpuncture

It appeared to Dr. Bohbot that the needles should be replaced with a permanent instrument so he could get a better understanding and interpritation of the results he obtained. "If we start with two elements, known and material. i.e. the laser; and another one immaterial, i.e. the network, and we get a positive result, it means that a link between both elements may exist."

The laser must give a very gentle energy, similar to the one introduced by a needle into the body. He chose an infared laser.

Gentleness and nonagression became key words in this method, so the under lying tissues are not damaged.

During the research that he conducted with a friend, they came up with what they considered being the right laser wave length. Later he established a record of the laser penetration properties.

With the laserpuncture method, 10 points are stimulated simutaneously. A session last 10 minutes for each laser head, i.e; 100 minutes of light in total.
